Milly Alcock to star in dark comedy Thumb

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Milly Alcock, known for House of the Dragon and Supergirl, has joined the dark comedy Thumb, directed by Daina Oniunas-Pusić.
The screenplay, written by Cesar Vitale, follows a lonely woman (played by Alcock) who receives a severed thumb in a mailed package. She dedicates her life to returning the thumb to its owner, and along the way, her world is changed forever.
Alcock rose to fame in 2022 with the first season of the fantasy series House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones. More recently, she appeared in the miniseries Sirens alongside Julianne Moore. She has completed filming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, directed by Craig Gillespie and set for release on June 26, 2026, and also appears briefly in the closing scenes of Superman.
Croatian filmmaker Oniunas-Pusić made her feature debut with Tuesday, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival. Her previous works include the short films The Beast and Rhonna & Donna.
Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman is among the producers of the project. Filming for Thumb will begin this fall in New York.
